BNK receives investment grade credit rating from S&P Global Ratings
BNK Banking Corporation Limited (ASX: BBC) is pleased to announce that global credit ratings agency S&P Global Ratings has assigned BNK an issuer credit rating of BBB- / Stable / A-3, marking the bank’s first investment grade rating from a major ratings agency.
This milestone recognises BNK’s robust capital position, strong credit performance, and ongoing focus on prudent risk management.
The stable outlook reflects S&P’s expectation that BNK will maintain strong credit fundamentals and a conservative risk appetite over the medium term.
“Achieving an investment grade rating from S&P is a significant milestone for BNK,” said Allan Savins, Chief Executive Officer of BNK.
“It reflects our disciplined focus on capital strength, credit quality, and long-term sustainability. This rating reinforces BNK’s credibility as a banking partner and provides a strong platform to support our growth strategy, including continued diversification of our funding sources.”
The rating is expected to further enhance BNK’s access to wholesale funding markets and strengthen its position within the Australian financial services sector.
