What you will bring
- Degree in Accounting or Finance with masters degree being highly beneficial
- CA/CPA qualified.
- Minimum 4 years’ finance experience in the Banking/Financial Services industry
- Strong financial modelling and excel skills
- Experience reporting on daily liquidity and funding operations of the group.

- Understanding of APRA and other key reporting requirements and standards in relation to financial controls

Key Responsibilities
Management Reporting
- Creation and preparation of monthly business results and analysis for CEO, ELT and Board Reporting
- Monitoring and analysis of financial KPI’s such as Capital ratios, RoE, NIM, Cost-Income, Liquidity ratio etc
- In addition, be a member of the results group that oversee all investor relations presentations and ASX Financial updates.
- Ad-hoc financial and scenario analysis as required.
Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting & Modelling
- Maintenance of the planning, forecasting and budgeting of the Group, including monthly rolling forecast, formal quarterly forecast update, annual budget and five-year plan.
- Support with Capital management and planning is a part of this responsibility and the ability to develop & run modelling and scenarios accurately and efficiently.
- Expense analysis and projection
- Maintenance of financial models ensuring appropriate documentation, procedures, security and controls are in place
Group Treasury
- Support role in Group Treasury including:
- Reporting on daily liquidity and funding operations of the group.
- Organising and facilitating daily liquidity meetings, updating daily cash & investment (HQLA) positions and monitoring of MLH ratios for compliance with RAS metrics.
- Assessment of short-term funding requirements and investment opportunities to optimise yield and NIM.
- Decision support for investment allocation and management.
Management of financial resources of the ADI
- Support to ensure the ADI and group has sufficient finance controls and processes in place to ensure compliance with policies, laws and regulations, including Prudential Standards, responsible lending, privacy and AFSL/ACL Finance Systems. This will include:
- Capital management function of the group, including the ICAAP review and funding plan.
- Completion of ALCO (asset and liability committee) reporting, and secretary of ALCO.
- Market risk management and IRRBB
- Recovery planning.
Policy Support
- Support and review of key policies such as Liquidity, IRRBB, ICAAP, Contingent Funding Plan, Recovery & Exit Plan etc.
- Monitor and report on relevant Risk Appetite Statement metrics.
Strategic Projects
- Support as required in strategic projects of the Group, for example, mergers and acquisitions of portfolios and/or other entities.
