Frequently asked questions

How often can I make repayments?

Repayments can be made weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Additional payments can be made through internet banking for all of our loans, just make a transfer to your loan account. We currently do not offer fixed rate loans.

How often will I receive a statement?

We provide statements of account at least once every six months or monthly if you have a offset account. You can however view transactions at any time on the internet if you sign up for internet banking.

Am I eligible to apply for a loan?

You can apply if you’re 18 or older, not currently bankrupt or insolvent, and either an Australian citizen or a permanent resident of Australia.

Some of our loan products are also available to companies and trusts – in those cases the applicant must be the company director or the trustee (and the director/trustee must also meet the eligibility criteria above).

All applications are subject to credit approval and our lending criteria.

How is interest calculated?

Interest is calculated by applying the interest rate to the unpaid balance owing to us at the end of each day.

Is my property suitable security for a home loan?

All properties to be used as security have to be assessed to see if they meet our lending criteria.

References to “LVR” mean Loan to Value Ratio which is calculated by dividing the loan amount by the value of the property (as determined by us). There may be a difference between the purchase price and the value of the property.

Comparison Rates provided include the interest rate and most standard fees and charges that must be paid over the life of the loan and  are calculated on a loan amount of $150,000 for a term of 25 years based on monthly repayments.
